The top results of the second auction of wines and spirits by the Verona-based auction house
Verona, May 21, 2024. Excellent results for Nomisma Aste. During the Wine and Spirits Auction held in the stunning setting of Villa Mosconi Bertani on May 5, 2024, the Verona-based auction house achieved €113,000 including fees, with 78% of the lots sold.
Among the wines that garnered the most interest from collectors was lot 2097, a bottle of Romanée-Conti Grand Cru 1982, which had a starting bid of €300.00 and sold for €1,573.00 including fees.
Lot 2142, three bottles of the renowned Salon, Cuvée S Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne Le Mesnil 2012, was also a great success, reaching €4,719.00 including fees from a starting bid of €2,500.00.
Astute collectors secured lots 2048 and 2049, six highlight bottles of this auction, the Brunello di Montalcino Biondi Santi Riserva 1955, topped up in June 2001, which started at €1,650.00 per lot and were sold for €2,178.00 and €2,299.00 including fees, respectively.
Also worth mentioning are the two Masseto Tenuta dell’Ornellaia wines, specifically the 2017 vintage (lot 2040) and the 2018 vintage (lot 2041), both of which started at €500.00 and sold for €968.00 including fees each, and the Magnum Dom Pérignon Rosé 2008 (lot 2120), which had a starting bid of €800.00 and was sold for €1,452.00 including fees.
Among the spirits, the special Cognac Grande Champagne Louis XIII Rémy Martin, lot 2161, stood out, starting at €1,000.00 and selling for €1,694.00 including fees.
Finally, we highlight three lots of the iconic Macallan: lot 2184, the Red Ribbon 1950 Handwritten Label Edition, lot 2185, the 1958 vintage, and lot 2188, the 25 years old Decanter M series, which sold for €3,509.00 including fees (starting estimate €2,000.00), €2,057.00 including fees (starting bid €1,500.00), and €3,388.00 including fees (starting at €1,500.00), respectively.
